Drawing pencils come in many shapes, forms, and colors. In this session, we will explore the earthy, muted tones of water-soluble graphite and compare them with the vibrant shades of watercolor pencils. While both are water-activated, these two mediums behave very differently. Subject studies for this course will include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, and still life. This class is beginner-friendly, and advanced students will enjoy exploring the unique illustrative qualities these pencils can achieve. This is part of a 4-class series focused on different formats of colored pencils.
