Drawing Animals and Pets

This class offers an opportunity to learn numerous techniques for sketching animal forms, ranging from the anatomy of a horse to the unique proportions of a penguin. We will cover everything from an expressive chimpanzee face to the dexterity of raccoon paws; no animal and their mesmerizing movements are off-limits. Fundamental drawing class skills will be expected coming into this course. We’ll conclude with a final project in which students render a more detailed portrait of their own pet or favorite animal.
