Drawing Portraits Part II

This class is a continuation of the Two Bridges Art Academy portrait drawing series. Please note that students who have not taken our Limited Palette Portrait class are still encouraged to participate in this informative and helpful class, but some basic drawing skills coming into the class will be assumed. The eight-week session will focus on strengthening the spatial facial feature skills we practiced in the first class. Additionally, we’ll focus on facial planes, contrasting values and finding a harmonious balance to our portraits. While the Limited Palette Portrait class focuses more on quick likenesses, this session allocates more time to refining finishing details. Participants will work with graphite, vine and white charcoal on various drawing surfaces. When the class concludes participants will have increased confidence in their portrait drawing capabilities and portfolio.
